Tyler Silvia’s Busy WEXCR Off-Season Results in National Win

Tyler Silvia had a busy off-season as he raced in the Southern Off-Road Championship Series. He traveled south and won the 85cc SORCS Winter Nationals in Georgia.

“The SORCS season went really well – even better than I expected,” Silvia explained. “We had to complete 4 out of 5 races for it to count as a season and I missed 1 round, so all of the races counted for me.”

Silvia completed suspension testing during much of the season, so this increased the difficulty for him to ride comfortably on his bike, but he still managed to win 3 out of the 4 rounds.

“At the end of the season, there was a lot of battling going on. There are a lot of fast kids in the series. I really enjoyed it, especially the warmer weather,” said Silvia.

In his off-time between the SORCS and GNCC’s, Silvia  completed testing on his bike and worked to get it to 100%

This season, Silvia’s goal is to win the 85 (12-13) Class in the GNCC’s and to have one Top 5 Overall finish. He’s been close with an 8th and a 9th overall so far, so he looks forward to the challenge of breaking the Top 5. For WEXCR, he would like to win the Intermediate Class and try to get Top 3 Overall.

“The tracks are my favorite part of racing WEXCR,” Silvia said. “They flow really well and they are more technical than the GNCC’s so it’s good practice for racers.”

Silvia would like to thank his Mom and Dad for their support in his racing and the individuals who work at the WEXCR races.

Additionally, he would like to thank his sponsors:
