WEXCR is excited to announce that for the 2018 season we will be Co-sanctioning 2 races with the GNCC Nationals at their Wiseco John Penton Event on May 26 & 27th and their Powerline Park Event on Oct 13th & 14th We will be offering these two co-sanctioned rounds as extra WEXCR points paying rounds to be counted towards WEXCR series points in classes and overall rankings for our series. These will basically be “extra” rounds for all WEXCR riders and you are not required to attend these events if you don’t wish. Although these 2 events can count towards your best 9 events to qualify for our end of season banquet and with the addition of the co-sanction events it gives you 2 “extra throwaway” races for this season. These events will NOT count toward your “Ironman Award” as you will have to attend all 11 regular WEXCR rounds to qualify for it. WEXCR Peewee division racers: Unfortunately these 2 Co-Sanction events DO NOT offer any GNCC Micro classes/WEXCR points paying Peewee Bike or Mini Quad classes, these co-sanction rounds will only pay points for our Youth, Adult & UTV divisions. How will this work? Most importantly these events will be ran like all other GNCC events, so you must follow all of their general & class rules which can be found on the GNCC website. In order to gain WEXCR points for these events you must tell GNCC registration crew that you are a “WEXCR Co-Sanctioned” rider & you must also stop by the WEXCR tent beside GNCC registration to get signed up with us. We will be at our tent from 7am to 4pm on Saturday & 7am to 1pm on Sunday. (You the rider are responsible for doing this at signup, if you forget you will not receive WEXCR points for the event). If you use their online pre-registration system you will be asked for a WEXCR ID# during the process, just type in “YES” in that field. If you already pre-registered and you didn’t put in “YES” you must let GNCC know that you are a WEXCR co-sanctioned rider when you pickup your packet on race day and do not forget to stop by the WEXCR tent to check in with us. As far as the race classes you must run a corresponding GNCC class equivalent to WEXCR class which is listed on the chart below. If no exact corresponding class is available, we will score your WEXCR class points based on your overall results in your GNCC division race. Your WEXCR points will be based on your finish against other WEXCR racers, so your WEXCR points and finish position will more than likely be different than your GNCC points and finish position. See example below. Pro, A, and B riders must ride PM races and corresponding classes to earn WEXCR points. C riders & most older age group classes are eligible for AM races and races. For clarification, no points will be paid for sportsman A or sportsman B as per GNCC rulebooks and these classes will not count towards...

WEXCR overall scoring will be based on a combined GNCC PM/AM overall, see example below. Any riders running a points paying class in AM or PM race is eligible for overall points. WEXCR overall finishes will be counted as all PM riders first, then AM riders will be added to overall. (again sportsman A and B do not pay GNCC or WEXCR class or Overall points).

Please check the class structure list for a comparison of what GNCC class you should run to get WEXCR points.

Key Points to Remember:

You must follow all GNCC rules for these 2 events, if you are not familiar with their rules and event costs click here to check out their website and review all rules and regulations before attending the events.

GNCC Events are AMA sanctioned so you must have an AMA card in order to race, click this link for more info

There is no additional costs or fees involved for receiving points for our series, you are just responsible for the GNCC race fees.

In order to gain WEXCR points for these events you must tell GNCC registration crew that you are a “WEXCR Co-Sanctioned” rider & you must also stop by the WEXCR tent beside GNCC registration to get signed up with us. We will be at our tent from 7am to 4pm on Saturday & 7am to 1pm on Sunday.(You the rider are responsible for doing this at signup, if you forget you will not receive WEXCR points for the event).

You will be racing against all racers in your GNCC class for your GNCC points but your WEXCR points will be based on your GNCC class or overall finish against other WEXCR racers only.

WEXCR Peewee Bike/Mini Quad racers: Unfortunately these 2 Co-Sanction events do not offer any WEXCR points paying classes, these co-sanction rounds will only pay points of our Youth, Adult & UTV divisions.

Co-sanction Class Scoring Example:

If you run Adult Bike Open B with WEXCR you would have to either run the GNCC Open B, 250B or Jr 25+ A/B based on the class comparison chart above. Lets say you get 3rd in your selected GNCC class against all GNCC racers, you will receive a 3rd place plaque and 3rd place points from the GNCC. After the event we will look at the overall results for the GNCC Open B, 250B or Jr 25+ A/B classes and lets say you had the highest overall finish based on the WEXCR racers that run the WEXCR Open B class then you would receive 1st place points for the WEXCR Open B class for the event.

We will have a WEXCR booth setup on Sat & Sun at both co-sanction events so make sure you stop by and say Hi and if you have any questions about scoring for these events we will be glad to help answer any questions you have!

We are constantly evolving our class structure to try to align with GNCC racing and this is a great opportunity to see our riders excel at the national level. With the addition of our many youth, adult & UTV racers it should be a great turnout for the event and a great chance to introduce yourself to the “GNCC Racin Nation”!

Good luck to you all and we’ll see you at the track!

On Sunday October 7th we will be hosting our 12th round of racing (final round for Peewee Divisions) for the 2018 race season at “Constitution Ridge” located just outside of Belpre, OH! Constitution Ridge is full of racing history as many local races have been held on this property over the past few decades. This track is full of tighter technical trails as well as a few faster paced trails and field sections. Its also a great facility for spectators as there is several areas to catch some great racing action within just a short walk from the pits. We should end up with around 7 miles for the adult divisions, approx. 3-4 miles for the youth divisions and approx 1 mile loop for the peewee division racers. For those of you chasing season points, remember you need to race in at least 9 races and complete at least 1 lap at each event in order to qualify for our season awards banquet (date TBA soon). So Youth & Adults racers you only have 2 events left (this one & Powerline Park GNCC co-sanction) to get your points in for this season. The “drops/throw aways” have already started to take effect and the points standings are getting very interesting as we have some close points battles in several classes. To see your current season points standings you can check out the standings by clicking here. The parking area at this facility has fairly easy off the road access and there is plenty of room to bring in your toy haulers or campers in to make it a full weekend family adventure with us (gates close at 11pm) As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping.See the bottom of this page for track address & directions. This event is sponsored by our friends at Appalachian Offroad Motorcycle Company (AOMC) Make sure you show them some support by visiting their website at AOMC.mx for any of your parts & accessories needs in order to get prepared for any of our events. Also make sure you checkout their sister company P3 Carbon to see their awesome lineup of carbon fiber skid plates, pipe guards & other accessories to protect your race machine.
On Sunday August 26th we will be hosting our Bike & Quad Rd#10 at “Locust Grove Raceway” located just outside of McArthur, OH! This will be the 4th time this property has ever been raced on and it seems to be a favorite with every racer that’s ever attended! Overall this track has a pretty good variety of terrain to tackle from tight technical sections, a few small open high speed field sections, creek crossings, adult only creek jump and a few medium sized up & down hills. We have plans for another nice long adult bike only single track section as well as some new adult quad only sections for this years layout. Stay tuned for more info as the new layout progresses. For those of you chasing season points, remember you need to race in at least 9 races and complete at least 1 lap at each event in order to qualify for our season awards banquet. So you only have 4 events left (including Powerline Park GNCC co-sanction) to get your points in for this season. The “drops/throw aways” will start to take effect after this event, so points standings will get very interesting as we have some close points battles in several classes. To see your current season points standings you can check out the standings by clicking here. This facility does have easy off the road access with plenty of semi level parking, if you would like you can bring your campers or tents out on Saturday (gates close at 11pm) and spend the weekend with us, as always there is no extra charge for primitive camping. See the bottom of this page for track address & directions. This event is sponsored by Spider Graphix and they have some special SG swag headed our way for holeshot awards for every start row this weekend!! Make sure you keep these guys in mind for any of your custom graphics, signs or T-shirt needs! Make sure you click on their logo above to link to their Facebook page and give them a “Like” to keep up with all their latest designs! Check out all the great contingency programs that are available to all racers in our series: AOMC also has an awesome new contingency program in store for all racers with our series this season: Click here for more info!
On Sunday May 6th, we will be hosting our 2nd round of Motorcycle & ATV racing at “Scenic Lake Raceway” located just outside of Glouster, OH! We are also excited to announce that we will also be holding our 1st round of UTV racing at this property for the first time ever. This property is probably one of our all around favorites with its beautiful scenery and a awesome track which has a great mixture of faster open trails, tight technical areas and some adult bike single track sections. There is several great spectator spots to watch the adult racers as they tackle hill climbs, creek crossings and a small creek jump all within a short walk from the pits! Trimble Football Alumni will be onsite Sunday providing concessions for everyone, so make sure you stop by and get some great food and help support their local football league. This facility does have easy off the road access with level parking although this is one of the smaller and spread out parking areas within our series. If you would like you can bring your small campers or tents out on Saturday (gates close at 11pm) and spend the weekend with us, as always there is no extra charge for primitive camping. Space is a little limited for extra large RV’s, campers or trailers, so if possible load up a smaller trailer or throw your bike or quad in the pickup truck on Sunday to help save space and get ready for another adventurous round with WEXCR!!! This event is sponsored by our friends at Pirate MX Powersports who specializes in ATV, Motorcycle & UTV used parts at their new warehouse located at 1900 Pike St in Parkersburg, WV. With over 900+ complete Atv’s & Bike’s & UTV parted out, they have an a massive inventory of over 15,000 like new parts for many different makes & models of Sport ATV’s as well as some Motorcycle & Utility ATV & UTV inventory. Their inventory can be viewed and purchased through their ebay store online or their website. If you don’t see what you are looking for or if you are in need of a part in a hurry, you can call them @ 304-699-7572 to arrange for an in store pickup or they may also bring parts to the track on race day if needed. Also make sure you go “like” their facebook page to keep up to date with their latest inventory deals. Thanks to Pirate MX Powersports we will also have $10 gas cards for Holeshot awards to each row in every division for this event! Check out all the great contingency programs that are available to all racers in our series: AOMC also has an awesome new contingency program in store for all racers with our series this season: Click here for more info!
As you all know by now we had to cancel our Round#1 event that was originally planned for the 15th due to heavy rains in the area. I absolutely hate cancelling events, only 2 due to weather in 7 years;) but it was the best thing for all of us that day as it would have been an absolute disaster if we proceeded with racing due to the rains that hit throughout Saturday night and continued all day last Sunday. Another downfall of cancellation is rescheduling, which can also be a nightmare in itself trying to find a date that doesn’t have any interference of some sort with our staff, racers or other race series. All of us that run these events have “real” jobs and many other commitments outside of our passion of running this race series and it makes it very difficult to gather up all the different resources that it takes to put on these events on a unplanned weekend. We have ran several different scenarios about how to make up this event and we feel that the best date for us is this coming Sunday April 22nd at the “Black Diamond XC” in New Plymouth, OH. Our crew as well as the landowners crew has put countless number of hours into making this track and it is all setup and ready to race as well as a great looking forecast for this week and leading into the weekend. We are 100% aware that this is a SC GNCC race date but this is the only option that we have without literally effecting our other scheduled race dates & commitments that we have with future landowners. I totally understand that some of you already have plans or commitments to race the GNCC series this weekend and I urge to continue chasing your national goals if that is what is important to you. Just as a reminder at our series we have 13 points races planned for this season and we have 4 “throwaways” for the season and we only count your best 9 races towards your year end points so you could easily take a “throwaway” race for this first event if you cant attend this coming Sunday. We have also decided to not count this first event towards our year end “Ironman” racer dedication awards, so you will have to attend the remaining 10 regular WEXCR rounds in order to qualify. Just as a reminder our GNCC Co-sanction events don’t count toward Ironman award qualification, but they can count towards the required 9 events for season championships. I know this decision will not be a popular one with some and it was a very tough decision for us but we feel it is the best option to get this event under our belt then we can all get back together for our regular scheduled program at round #2 on May 6th at Scenic Lake Raceway. We wish you all the best of luck if you are...
