Unfortunately Race Season is almost over (insert sad face here!) On Sunday October the 13th, we will be hosting our 2024 season finale event at “Reno Raceway” chosen by the racers based on our race location poll we did last week! This was definitely a exciting way to determine our final location as the lead changed many times throughout the poll. This is not only our final race of the season, but this event also marks the 150th points race for our series since we started it 13 years ago! To celebrate this milestone every 150th person (150, 300, 450, 600, 750 etc…) that comes through the gate will receive free gate entry! We will also give a free race entry for every 150th racer to signup for this event!

Reno Raceway is full of racing history as many local XC & MX races have been held on this property over the past several decades (46 years to be exact!). This track has a great mixture of technical and open faster paced trails, mx section as well as a rocky optional hill climb & the famous “Duvall Hill” which is a crowd favorite! Since we are racing here in the fall and it is much drier than our typical season opener, its going to allow me to do some different things with the track. Also since our season opener, Henry has redesigned the MX track and its definitely way more fun. Stay tuned for final track mileages to be released soon…

We will also be having the Stacyc races at approx. 4:00pm near where the old finish area was! And also thanks to Hendershot Performance we have a few helmets to give away to Stacyc racers. So make sure your lil ones stick around for all the extra fun!

The parking area at this facility has easy off the road access and there is plenty of room to bring in your toy haulers or campers in to make it a full weekend family adventure with us (reminder gates close at 11pm Fri & Sat eve so please plan accordingly) As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping. We are super excited to bring you guys back to this facility again for our 2024 season for our Rd#9 this coming SUNDAY Sept 22nd at the “Jackson Farm XC 2.0″ located just outside of Mineral Wells, WV!!

Four years ago we took this 200+ acres of a “blank canvas” and converted it into another sweet WEXCR original layout! Once again, we have busy adding some new features to the track for version 2.0 as well as reversing the direction of some sections of the track for this event! Expect to see plenty of elevation changes as we roll through the good ole hills of WV! There will be several faster paced sections as well as a few rocky technical sections, along with shallow creek sections, a mini-moto track and a brand new optional “Pro-Hill Climb” for adult bikes just a short walk from the finish area!

Just a reminder for those of you chasing season points, the 1st round of points drops will take effect after this event!

Special Camping & Parking Rules:

The parking area at this facility is a bit different than most of our facilities as it is spread out into several different field sections and only one section has access for campers so we are going to have to limit the number of campers allowed for this weekend. Just as a forewarning this is not the best place to bring in a 40’+ tri-axle 5th wheel or large RV’s so please make plans to leave those at home for this event and load up the pickup or a small trailer and come see us on race day! We also ask that if your just planning on coming on race day, please pack lightly and if possible leave the big box trailers at home to help us conserve space! As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping but it will be limited due to the space available, just as a reminder gates close at 11pm Sat evening. The track will consist of a small loop around our starting line area and this is not a competition event, its just for fun and to get our lil ones ready for future competition events when they can enter the peewee ranks. All riders must have a bicycle style or full face helmet in order to participate!

**Very Important Directions Info**

#1 – ***Please watch your speed – 20 MPH Speed Limit*** as Wadesville Road is a paved back road but it is very narrow in some spots for 2 way traffic, so please use extra caution and keep your speed down and watch for other drivers traveling to and from the area!

#2 – Depending on where you are coming from, your GPS may guide you onto Wadesville Road from the Rt 68 side, which is a longer journey (approx 11mi) out a narrow backroad. It is highly highly recommended that you come onto Wadesville Road from Rockport/I-77 side as it is a shorter distance (approx 3.5mi) off the major roadways.

On top of our regular points season race that is being held on Saturday we are going to be holding a team race for fun on Sunday the 25th! We have plans to have a little easier course laid out that will be fun for everyone at all skill levels can enjoy this special event with their buddies!

For those of you that have never raced in a team race before, its the most fun you’ll ever have racing, that is if you have a fast partner, lol… The concept is pretty simple, find yourself a team mate of similar skill level (no sandbagging) and you can either share a machine or ride your own. If you cant find a team mate we are offering an Ironman class open to amateur racers only or if you are a pro you can enter the Ironman Pro Challenge and start on the last row!

On raceday, just come to the registration trailer with your helmets and you will be put in your desired class under a team name of your choice. Both riders will have numbered stickers and transponders on your helmet for scoring. You will then need to decide who will start the race for your team and head to the starting line at the time for your division below. On the start line each starting team member will be given a special armband (don’t lose it!!) This start will not be the traditional start that you are used to seeing as we will be doing a Le Mans style start, basically you will run to your machine for the start and bike riders your partner will have to be holding up your motorcycle from behind.

Once the race is off and running your team mate will be in a designated impound area awaiting your arrival for a switch off, which you can do as often as you like just as long as you are within 1 lap of your partner at the end of the race. Remember that special armband, the rider that is out on the track must have this armband around their wrist or forearm at all times. When you decide to switch riders in the impound area you must also switch this armband, if you come through scoring and you do not have your armband you will not be scored for that lap, so make sure you keep track of the armband at all times and most importantly do not lose it!! You will race for the duration that is designated for your division which is found below along with the classes & team event rules. As you come thru the finish line on your last lap, you must drop off the special armband to our staff member standing at the track exit.

Basic Rules in addition to our general race rules:

• Each team must have two riders, teams can use 1 or 2 separate machines and in the event of a break down the team can continue on one machine if needed.
• Team racers must be on similar skill level, example you can be one class different but you must run the higher class, example a “B” & “C” rider can race “B” class together but they can’t run “C” class.
• Racers 30 or older can race in Vet 30+ no matter of amateur skill level, sorry no pro’s…
• Le-mans style start (run to your bike/quad) with 45 second offset between rows.
• You must exchange riders inside the designated impound area only.
• You must exchange the special armband to complete switch and you must finish the race within 1 lap of your partner or your last laps will be deleted to get you back to within the 1 lap range.
• Repairs and refueling must take place inside impound area only and only team members are permitted in impound area after the Adult race begins.
• If you are towed back into impound by track official/sweeper that lap doesn’t count, you can either repair your machine inside impound and continue racing or switch to your team mates machine.
• We are offering a Iron man class if you can’t find a team mate and the class is an open class to any amateur skill level, sorry no Pro’s. Although we do have a special Pro Ironman Challenge class which will start on the very last line.
• At the request of several racers we are offering a Father/Son class (any parent/child team configuration allowed) in our adult divisions – which youth racers with 80cc+ bikes and youth quad 250cc+ are permitted to race in this division with their parents on adult sized machines. The adult track layout will be fairly easy just longer than the peewee & youth layouts in the AM.

As we kicked off the month with a weekend full of non stop racing at our Double Header event, we are going to bring you all another long weekend full of racing, camping & a fun team race to wrap up the month of August. On Saturday the 24th we will be hosting our 8th round of our points season racing at Tower Ridge just outside of Belpre, OH! This will also be our 4th round of our Pitbike & Motomom mini series which will be held Saturday Evening.

On Sunday July 14th we will be hosting our Rd#5 event at the “Black Rock XC” facility located in Sharpsburg, OH!!

As far as this track goes, this is one of my favorite tracks when we have good weather so far it has been very dry, so lets keep our fingers crossed! This track has a great mixture of some old school tight technical trails to challenge all our racers in all divisions! We have been busy adding in some brand new sections for Adult Bike only as well as some Bike & Quad shared trails. For this event we will also have a brand new technical bike only optional “prohill” as well as a quad only prohill which is just a short walk from the pits and this is always a spectator favorite at this track. Typically for the adult divisions, expect to see a total mileage of approx 8+ miles for this round!!

Thanks to Seth at L&W Distribution every line at this event will have a chance to win a free bottle of Wamco shine for pulling the holeshot in their start row!! We will also have all the Wamco products for sale at our merchandise tent, make sure you stop by and checkout their products!

The track will consist of a small loop around our starting line area and this is not a competition event, its just for fun and to get our lil ones ready for future competition events when they can enter the peewee ranks. There is no sign up fee, (its FREE!) for this event, just show up at the start line area after the adult quads take off and await for instructions. All riders must have a bicycle style or full face helmet in order to participate!

The parking area at this facility has easy off the road access and there is plenty of room to bring in your toy haulers or campers in to make it a full weekend family adventure with us (reminder gates close at 11pm Sat eve) As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping. We are super excited to bring you guys back to this facility for our series as we kickoff Rd#4 this coming SUNDAY June 9th at the “Jackson Farm XC” located just outside of Mineral Wells, WV!!

Four years ago we took this 200+ acres of a blank canvas and converted it into another sweet WEXCR original layout! We have busy adding some new sections in as well as reversing the direction of some sections of the track for this event! Expect to see plenty of elevation changes as we roll through the good ole hills of WV! There will be several faster paced sections as well as a few rocky technical sections, along with shallow creek sections, a mini-moto track and the new dual back to back optional “Pro-Hill Climbs” just a short walk from one of the parking fields!

The parking area at this facility is a bit different than most of our facilities as it is spread out into several different field sections and only one section has access for campers so we are going to have to limit the number of campers allowed for this weekend. Just as a forewarning this is not the best place to bring in a 40’+ tri-axle 5th wheel or large RV’s so please make plans to leave those at home for this event and load up the pickup or a small trailer and come see us on race day! We also ask that if your just planning on coming on race day, please pack lightly and if possible leave the big box trailers at home to help us conserve space! As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping but it will be limited due to the space available, just as a reminder gates close at 11pm Sat evening. **Very Important Directions Info**

#1 – ***Please watch your speed – 20 MPH Speed Limit*** as Wadesville Road is a paved back road but it is very narrow in some spots for 2 way traffic, so please use extra caution and keep your speed down and watch for other drivers traveling to and from the area!

#2 – Depending on where you are coming from, your GPS may guide you onto Wadesville Road from the Rt 68 side, which is a longer journey (approx 11mi) out a narrow backroad. It is highly highly recommended that you come onto Wadesville Road from Rockport/I-77 side as it is a shorter distance (approx 3.5mi) off the major roadways.

Round#3 is almost here! We will be hosting this round of racing at “Dynamite Valley” just outside of Chesterhill, OH this coming Sunday the 26th!! We are pumped to be holding this event at Dynamite Valley as it is always a crowd favorite for the racing and the beautiful surrounding scenery which is going to make a great place to spend your Memorial Day weekend!! You all will really enjoy this new layout as it has kind of a old school style layout with some technical and challenging areas but yet still fun for all skill levels! Since the majority of us have a 3 day weekend, we all don’t have to rush home to get ready to go to work/school on Monday! So with a little extra time after our regular jammed packed Peewee/Youth & Adult division racing program ends we are going to bring you guys some additional racing action by also having the 2nd round of our 5 Round Mini Series for the Pit Bike “XC Challenge Race” & Moto Moms & Girls! Click here for more info on these 2 special events!

So this makes for a nice place to do some camping and have some relaxation before Sundays race!! You are also welcome to camp out on Sunday evening if you wish. Rd#2 is almost here & we are excited to be back to racing again coming up on Sunday May 5th at Husted Hills in Amesville, OH!!!  Over the years we have built great relationships with the surrounding neighbors and they let us run our trails onto their properties so we can provide you guys with many different variations to conquer here. Jeff has been busy all winter hiking some new sections and we definitely have a awesome new layout in the works for this round! We currently have an 8mi track laid out for our adult bikes with a solid 3.5 mile section of single track, adult quads will be 6mi and youth track is almost 4 mi with a 1mi section of fresh cut single track for them to improve their skills! Many of the other great features of Husted Hills will still be in the adult layout including the spectator favorite enduro-cross area, a optional pro-hill climbs just a short walk from enduro cross and portions of the fast paced sandy MX track!
