2023 SEASON AWARDS BANQUET RESERVATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

It’s finally time to celebrate all your hard work during our 2023 race season! On Saturday, January 20th 2024, we will be holding our 2023 Season Awards Banquet at the Washington Co Fairgrounds – Jr Fair Building located in Marietta, OH (see below for directions). If you participated in at least 8 of our events and completed at least 1 lap in each event you will qualify for banquet awards, no matter what place you finished, see the link below for qualifiers!

We will be having a full course meal served, along with several drink choices to choose from as well as cake & cookies for dessert.

For those of you that are 21+, there will be draft beer on tap along with a fully stocked cash bar on hand as well.

We’ve got some really awesome trophies & other specialty awards for you guys this year as well as some great door prizes to give away throughout the night!

So make sure you come join us for some great food, fun & plenty of bench racing while catching up with all your racing friends & family!

We are excited to finally announce that we will be returning to the new Tower Ridge facility for our final round of racing for the 2023 season on Sunday October 1st! This property was a brand new property for us and it has only been raced on once earlier this season. There is still a lot of untouched territory here for us to do our thing as we bring you guys another awesome new layout! Expect to see plenty of elevation changes, a few tighter technical areas as well as some faster grass track sections and an optional “Pro-Hill Climb” just a short walk from one of the parking fields!

The parking area at this facility is excellent with easy off the road access and plenty of level areas for campers. As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping and just as a reminder gates close at 11pm Sat evening. See the bottom of this page for track address!

2023 Season Championship Qualifications:

All divisions will have a 9 round points race series for the 2023 Season. To be eligible for the season ending Championship Trophy and Prizes, you must race at least 8 of the 9 races in the same class and same division and complete at least 1 lap. DNF’s and DNS’s do not count towards the required 8 races for a championship. Class championships will be determined by the rider’s best 8 event finishes. So you will only have 1 throw away races for 2023!

**NEW FOR 2023: Ties for year end class championships or other class positions will be broken by the most first place finishes, then by the most second place finishes, then by the most third place finishes, etc., until the tie is broken.**

 

Also we will now be having the strider/stacycs events at every round on the starting line right after the Adult Quads take off around 4:00pm! These will be special “exhibition” events for our little up and coming future racers that have striders and the battery powered stacycs. They will be broke down into separate events one for Striders and the other for the Stacycs. The track will consist of a small loop around our starting line area and this is not a competition event, its just for fun and to get our lil ones ready for future competition events when they can enter the peewee ranks. There is no sign up fee, (its FREE!) for this event, just show up at the start line area after the adult quads take off and await for instructions. All riders must have a bicycle style or full face helmet in order to participate!

For this event we are going to have a huge WEXCR racing yard sale/swap meet! We all have tons of extra parts, gear and accessories laying around in our garages that arent doing us a bit of good and taking up space. Now is the time to gather them all up and possibly help out some fellow racers and get rid of your old stuff. All you have to do is gather up all your old gear, parts, accessories, bikes, etc… basically anything racing related that you’d like to sell, bring it to the event and setup in front of your pits. It could help make you alittle extra cash for your 2024 race machine builds while saving others some cash as well!

On Sunday July 30th we will be hosting our Rd#6 event at the “Black Rock XC” facility located in Sharpsburg, OH!!

As far as this track goes, this is one of my favorite tracks when we have good weather as it has a great mixture of some old school tight technical trails to challenge all our racers in all divisions! We have been busy adding in some brand new sections.  We also have a brand new technical bike only optional “prohill” as well as a quad only prohill for this round which is just a short walk from the pits and this is always a spectator favorite at this track. Typically for the adult divisions, expect to see a total mileage of approx 7-8 miles for this round!!

We are super excited to bring you guys back to this facility for our series as we kickoff Rd#4 this coming SUNDAY June 18th at the “Jackson Farm XC” located just outside of Mineral Wells, WV!!

Three years ago we took this 200+ acres of a blank canvas and converted it into another sweet WEXCR original layout! We have busy adding some new sections in as well as reversing the direction of some sections of the track for this event! Expect to see plenty of elevation changes as we roll through the good ole hills of WV! There will be several faster paced sections as well as a few rocky technical sections, along with shallow creek sections, a mini-moto track and the new dual back to back optional “Pro-Hill Climbs” just a short walk from one of the parking fields!

The parking area at this facility is a bit different than most of our facilities as it is spread out into several different field sections and only one section has access for campers so we are going to have to limit the number of campers allowed for this weekend. We also ask that if your just planning on coming on race day, please pack lightly and if possible leave the big box trailers at home to help us conserve space! As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping but it will be limited due to the space available, just as a reminder gates close at 11pm Sat evening. **Very Important Directions Info**

#1 – ***Please watch your speed*** as Wadesville Road is a paved back road but it is very narrow in some spots for 2 way traffic, so please use extra caution and keep your speed down and watch for other drivers traveling to and from the area!

#2 – Depending on where you are coming from, your GPS may guide you onto Wadesville Road from the Rt 68 side, which is a longer journey (approx 11mi) out a narrow backroad. It is highly highly recommended that you come onto Wadesville Road from Rockport/I-77 side as it is a shorter distance (approx 3.5mi) off the major roadways.

We have an awesome track in the works for you guys to enjoy on Sunday June 18th at the “Jackson Farm XC” but one drawback to this facility is out of the approx 9+ acres of parking only an approx 3 acre section of it is suitable for parking campers & large box trailers. So if you are interested in bringing your camper to spend the night at the track, we only have 20 spots available, to reserve your spot just send us an email here and the first 20 people to email us will receive a confirmation email with instructions on the area to park in.

Reservations must be in by Thursday the 15th!

Please keep in mind I’m out in the woods most of the day with no service so you will not receive an immediate response to your email but I will be responding to them every evening when I return home.

Also the first turn coming off Wadesville Rd into the property is kind of tight but if your camper is 30′ or less you shouldn’t have a problem just swing wide and be a little cautious when pulling in. Just as a forewarning this is not the best place to bring in a 40’+ tri-axle 5th wheel or large RV so please make plans to leave those at home for this event and load up the pickup or a small trailer and come see us on race day!

**Very Important Directions Info**

Depending on where you are coming from, your GPS may guide you onto Wadesville Road from the Rt 68 side, which is a longer journey (approx 11mi) out a narrow backroad. It is highly highly recommended that you come onto Wadesville Road from Rockport/I-77 side as it is a shorter distance (approx 3.5mi) off the major roadways. Wadesville Road is a paved back road but it is narrow in some spots for 2 way traffic, so please use extra caution, keep your speed down and watch for other drivers traveling to and from the area!

Rd#2 is almost here & we are excited to be back to racing again this coming Sunday April 30th at Husted Hills in Amesville, OH!!!  Over the years we have built great relationships with the surrounding neighbors and they let us run our trails onto their properties so we can provide you guys with many different variations to conquer here as we work on a new layout for this round! Many of the other great features of Husted Hills will still be in the adult layout including the spectator favorite enduro-cross area, a optional pro-hill climb just a short walk from enduro cross and portions of the fast paced sandy MX track!

This round of racing is presented by our newest series partner Osburn Offroad out of Logan, OH. These guys have stepped up big time to help provide some extra prizes for this round. First off our Pro Bike & Pro Quad racers will have the opportunity to receive the following bonuses: 1st place = $600, 2nd place = $300 & 3rd place = $100, which this will be on top of our typical payout of 100% entries + our top 3 overall bonus that we payout every round! Then for all 6 of our divisions: whoever finishes in the 20th overall position for their division, they will receive a special prize package consisting of 4 personalized custom printed T-shirts with your name and race# on them. We can’t thank these guys enough for coming on board to help make our series a better place to race!

Also we will now be having the strider/stacycs events at every round on the starting line right after the Adult Quads take off around 4:00pm! These will be special “exhibition” events for our little up and coming future racers that have striders and the battery powered stacycs. They will be broke down into separate events one for Striders and the other for the Stacycs. The track will consist of a small loop around our starting line area and this is not a competition event, its just for fun and to get our lil ones ready for future competition events when they can enter the peewee ranks. There is no sign up fee, (its FREE!) for this event, just show up at the start line area after the adult quads take off and await for instructions. All riders must have a bicycle style or full face helmet in order to participate!

The parking area at this facility has easy off the road access and there is plenty of room to bring in your toy haulers or campers in to make it a full weekend family adventure with us (reminder gates close at 11pm Sat eve so please plan accordingly) As always there is no extra charge for primitive camping. We do not have any membership fees & we do not require AMA cards.

Riders will be required to have a transponder which is used to record your laps and laps times when you come through the finish area. Our transponders are the stick on type which go on the back side of your helmet. The transponders are a one time cost of $10.00, sorry we cant rent them out per race. It will be a one time purchase and as long as you don’t damage it, lose it or switch helmets. If you already have one of these stick on style transponders from any other race series, you are good to go as long as it passes the reader test at registration. Also there is no such thing as a “annual renewal/programming fee” with us!

We know it has taken a while to get the schedule out and there is a couple factors that have caused that so we wanted to take a few minutes to put this announcement out to help clear the air with what has been going on behind the scenes.

In case you were not at the banquet to hear the announcement, Vikki had to go thru a heart surgery in February. So we had to put series plans on hold for a while to get thru this as we didn’t want to make commitments to everyone if we couldn’t fulfill them. Luckily the surgeons were able to get the procedure done by an easier method than what we were originally told which helped reduce her recovery time. We want to thank each of you that took the time to check on her and help us out while she is going thru recovery.

Also, we are always working on making our series better for our riders, and have been tirelessly searching for more properties for us to race on. There is a lot of time that goes into scouting & finalizing new properties, and we have done just that to keep things new and exciting for our race families. We’d like to thank you all for being patient while we’ve worked all these things out, and we are excited for you all to see what we have coming for 2023!
