Kyle Chaney of Chaney Racing races a Can-Am Maverick XXC 1000 in the GNCC XC1 UTV Class, the WEXCR UTV Open and the MAXC SxS Pro Class.

He started racing SXS in 2011 in a Can-Am commander and got addicted to the sport.

He said, “Once you race one, you’re hooked for life. With all of the series I race, it’s a full-time job keeping up on the maintenance. My mechanic, Marshall, does a great job at helping me get the Maverick race ready.”

Chaney’s favorite part of SXS is the abuse the racers put the machines through. He explained, “It still blows my mind that we ever get these things to the finish line. Although, sometimes we don’t.”

For the 2015 season, Chaney nabbed the WEXCR & MAXC Championships and after a 22-point lead heading into the final GNCC Race, a fourth place finish at Ironman which allowed him to take the GNCC XC1 UTV Championship.

Chaney enjoys racing WEXCR because of the atmosphere, the people and the competitive racing. He said, “The track layouts are some of my favorite of all of the series that I race.”
