Round #7 “Locust Grove Raceway” McArthur, OH Sunday Aug 9th

Round# 7 of our Motorcycle & ATV series will be held on Sunday August 9th at “Locust Grove Raceway” located in McArthur, OH. This is a brand new location for our series as well as we will be the first ever to hold a race on this property. So we have a ton of work to complete to turn this few hundred acre blank canvas into another awesome track for you guys to enjoy your Sunday fun day with us! So far we have around 6.5 miles layed out for the adult divisions and if everything goes well we will be adding alittle more mileage and hopefully a bike only single track section!

This facility does have easy off the road access with plenty of semi level parking, if you would like you can bring your campers or tents out on Saturday and spend the weekend with us, as always there is no extra charge for camping. See the bottom of this page for track address & directions.

If your looking to get some extra seat time this weekend checkout OXCR: http://ohioxcountryracing.weebly.com/ we found out that they are holding a harescramble event at the Vinton county fairgrounds on Saturday the 8th. This is less than 10 mins away from our location that we are racing on Sunday. We also invite all OXCR racers to come check us out on Sunday and let’s all get together and do what we all love to do!

Its hard to believe that we are already into the 7th round of racing for this season and after looking over the standings we have some really good battles going on in several different classes. Just as a reminder we count your best 8 races out of the 10 for season points, so things will only get more interesting as we head into the next few rounds and the drops will start taking effect. Also another reminder, if you race in at least 8 rounds and complete at least 1 lap in each of the 8 rounds to collect points, you will qualify for our end of season banquet awards no matter what place you are in. So don’t give up and keep pushing hard towards the front of the pack to earn your class championship!

On a more personal side of things, its hard to believe already but this weekend marks my 5 year wedding anniversary to my wonderful wife and our series gatekeeper, make sure you wish her a happy anniversary and thank her for all her hard work & dedication in helping make this series what it is today. This time period also marks the 5 year anniversary for us running this race series and yes, I got married & took over this business all within a one week time period!

Also thanks to Pirate MX, at every one of our 2015 events, we will be giving away a total of 12 free racer registration passes per event which will get the winner free registration at a future 2015 event. Every peewee, youth & amateur racer that signs up for the event gets a chance to win if your name is selected, no matter what place you finish in your race! We will be drawing the winners and they will be posted on results board after each race as well as posting them online. Also each Mini & Youth Division Overall winner will also receive a free race pass!

Gate Fees:

Gates Open Sunday Morning @ 7am

Kids 5 & under are FREE

Ages 6-12 = $10 per person

Ages 13 & up = $15 per person

Racer Registration Fees:

Peewee Bike & Mini Quad Classes = $20.00

Youth Bike & Quad Classes = $25.00

Adult Bike & Quad Amateur Classes = $30.00

Adult Bike & Quad Pro-Am  = $40.00 (cash payback)

Adult Bike & Quad Pro = $50.00 (cash payback & year end bonus)

We do not have any membership fees & we do not require AMA cards. Riders will be required to have a transponder which is used to record your laps and laps times when you come through the finish area. Our transponders are the stick on type which go on the back side of your helmet. The transponders are a one time cost of $10.00, sorry we cant rent them out per race. It will be a one time purchase and as long as you don’t damage it, lose it or switch helmets. If you already have one of these stick on style transponders from any other race series, you are good to go as long as it passes the reader test at registration. Also there is no such thing as a “annual renewal/programming fee” with us!

Track Directions:

From the town of McArthur turn unto Rt93 North, go approx 1.25 miles and turn left onto Locust Grove Rd (twp23) and follow it for approx 4.75 miles to track entrance which will be on your left. Make sure to look for and follow the red/white Fly Racing course arrows to guide you to the track entrance.
