WEXCR 2020 Banquet2

2020 has been a very challenging and ever-changing year with all kinds of new procedures for all of us! I’m pleased to finally announce that on Saturday Nov 21st at “Husted Hills” located in Amesville, OH, we will be hosting our first ever Outdoor Season Awards Presentation and Ride Day for all our season qualifier’s, friend’s and families!!! We originally had this date picked out for our traditional indoor awards banquet but unfortunately due to all the restrictions and risk that comes along with that we had to scratch that plan for this season.

I’m sure many of you have all kinds of questions on how this is all going to work, so I’m going to do my best to explain everything that we have in store for you guys this coming Saturday!

First off, gates will open at 9am on Saturday morning, all attendees are subject to our normal gate fees to enter property. All award qualifiers and their immediate family (same vehicle) will receive a ticket to receive a complimentary BBQ lunch which will be served around 12:30pm. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a regular food concession trailer available to cover the event, so if you are not a qualifier and you’re just coming to ride for the day please come prepared with your own food and drinks.

Ride Day Info:

You all are welcome to bring bikes or quads along with you as we will have 2 tracks setup for you to come get some more seat time in before the winter weather sets in, and there is no additional charge to ride! We will be breaking the riding time down into 4 different sessions, times are listed below. 2 different 1 hour sessions on the peewee bike/mini quad loop and 2 different 2hr sessions on the youth bike/quad and adult bike/quad combined loop.

The Peewee loop which is open to up to 65cc max bike and 125cc max mini quads. This loop is marked with green arrows and is just a little over 1 mi long consisting of mainly the moto track with a little bit of woods sections.

The Youth/Adult loop which is open to all youth & adult division riders. This loop is marked with mixture of red and blue arrows and is approx. 3.5-4 mi long consisting of the moto track, GP fields & woods section all of which will be easy to navigate for any skill level youth or adult rider.

There is just a few basic track rules that everyone must follow:

  • Every Rider must have a DOT approved full faced helmet, goggles, gloves, long sleeve shirt, pants and riding boots that cover your ankles.
  • You can only ride during your designated session listed below and you can ride as many laps or as few laps as you wish during the sessions. You must enter and exit the track in the designated marked areas.
  • You must follow the direction of the arrows and stay on the marked course, do not venture off onto the other trails on the property.
  • Remember this is just a fun ride, it is not a race! So please share the track and be courteous to other riders while out on the track.
  • Slower riders are asked to please allow faster riders to pass. The slower rider must take the first opportunity to move to the right when possible to allow the faster rider to pass on the left.
  • Once your session is over the track will be blocked off and you must exit in the designated area and the track sweeper will start their lap and make changes to prepare for the next session.
  • Bikes and quads can be out on the track at the same time and if you abide by the rules above both can be safe and have fun together!
  • And just like at our regular race events, pit riding is not permitted, you can only ride to and from your pits directly to the track at a slow and controlled manner!

  • Wear a face cover when you are unable to social distance or stand 6 feet apart. Bring your own mask.  Just use common sense.  Besides, it is cool to be covered!
  • Wash your hands often and use hand sanitizer. We will have handwashing stations and hand sanitizer available.
  • Please do not offer to shake hands with anyone.
  • The CDC recommends persons who are sick with fever or cough, the elderly or those at high risk, to stay home. We do too.  Please do not attend our event if this is you.
  • Please take your own temperature before you leave home. If you have a temperature of at least 100.4, you have a fever and should stay home.
  • If you know you have had contact with someone diagnosed with having COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or you yourself have had COVID-19 in the last 30 days, please stay home.
